The Internet Bridge

By: Randall Packer |

This week we are embarking on a collaborative project with the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts (TAFA): building an Internet Bridge, an artistic exchange between Singaporean and Chinese art students communicating through media and dialogue via the Net. We are fortunate to be working with the Chinese artist and educator Yuqiang Dong and his students in a project that will activate Open Source Studio as a medium for collective art that dissolves the boundaries between countries and cultures. This weekend (October 25-26), along with TAFA students we will photograph a site here in Singapore (or nearby) that has significant cultural and historical interest, posting our images and observations on the project Website. See the Internet Bridge Introduction for complete details.
