The visit to Future World was my first time there, but it did not disappoint. As part of the exposure and inspiration-finding for the iLights Festival, Future World consists of many installations which users could interact with. Its use of technology, as per the title ‘Future World’, was somewhat unexpected. The ability to use Xbox Kinect with objects and generating Read more →

@ Ping's

As I caught a virus that has been going around the school, I unfortunately did not manage to visit the exhibition. Thankfully, I have visited the exhibition prior to this. Therefore, I will be reflecting on my past experience instead.

The thing I absolutely loved about the Future World exhibition is how it was able to immerse viewers into a different Read more →

@ Kaixin

This was my second time visiting the Future World. As this was a permanent exhibition in the Artscience Museum, I was quite surprised that they actually changed up some of the exhibits. This approach attracts people that have already been to the exhibition to go again. However, the main concept of the exhibition still remained the same. The exhibition includes Read more →

Upon reaching the Art Science Museum, we were greeted by enthusiastic hosts who shared the exhibition with us. Though small, we managed to spend a good amount of time interacting with the installation.

There were a few exhibitions which stood out. Of which, my personal favorite was the first room we entered. The user experience was well thought out. The dark Read more →

@ JO

Overall, TeamLab’s exhibit at the Art Science Museum was really an eye-opener. It was my first time at the exhibit, and I was really impressed by it. My first impression of the exhibit was futuristic. It really gave viewers space for imagination. We could see our design and drawings turn “alive” through technology. Our drawings were incorporated into a futuristic Read more →

Future World explored 4 different types of narratives namely Nature, Town, Park and Space. We kickstarted the visit in an immersive installation called, “Crows are chased and the chasing crows are destined to be chased as well, Transcending space”. Through the 3-dimensional audio and light projection, I felt totally absorbed into the scene and as a result I got motion-sickness. Read more →

This exhibition is one that caters to audience of different age groups and especially interesting due to the interactive element to the whole exhibition.

The exhibition is divided into 4 parts: Nature, Town, Park & Space. Each part has its uniqueness. Personally, i really love the immersiveness of the installations at Nature and Space.

@ Through the Cracks of the Violin

Future World is a brilliant exhibition where audiences get to fully experience each and every installation, not just by watching, but through almost every other senses like sound and touch.

In Nature, there are 5 panels of LED projecting an endless wave of waves. Accompanied by soothing music and bean bags strewn across the carpet floor, visitors are encouraged to take Read more →

Yesterday we visited the Art Science Museum for the Future World exhibition. It’s a permanent exhibition where only the light installations change over time. The exhibition is divided up in four narratives – Nature, Town, Park and Space.

NATURE

The exhibition begins with a trip through nature. The first installation was an artwork with crows, rendered in light, that fly around the space Read more →

A thorough response Pascal.  Could you elaborate more on what particularly inspired you about Crystal Universe?  Were there any things that Takasu shared during his talk about the "making of" and previous versions of the installation that you thought were interesting?  What else could you imagine this becoming if it were an interface for user experiences?
