Client: JurongHealth (Ng Teng Fong General Hospital)
Design Deliverable: Create a badge for Art on-the-move volunteers.
Design Aim: – To help people recognise & identify the volunteers better. – Instill a sense of pride when the volunteers wear it and to also serve as a collectible.
Project 1: Research & Development

To convey the nature of art-on-the-move programme as well as the spirits evoke by the volunteers in this programme.

About Ng Teng Fong Hospital:
Corporate, but friendly due it’s efforts at putting art works around, giving the environment a more lively and vibrant feel. Observation notes:
During the trip to NTFGH, we were brought around art elements around the facility be it the work of collaborating artist, staff and even patients. As i observe the artworks that were displayed, many of them seem to be under the theme of plants and memories. It is also observed that these works are often slightly abstract.

Design aim: The client, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital requires a new logo design to be used on the button badge for their Arts on the move volunteer program. A design that reflects the programs values, passion and purpose.

Positive Distraction. Will be great to expand on the list of nouns that you would associate with the art on the move. I see you used palette, paint. Do give your concept a title: eg concept 1 Caring and healing with art. Is it just one hand? how would meaning change with 2 hands, whose hands, the gesture of the hands. is it an exchange or connection. The palette appears still at the moment. How can you convey fun, enjoyment, up lifting spirit? Concept 2 seems to dealing with freedom and losing sense of time. Heart shape is a good start, explore other shapes.

Environment (Exterior): – Shopping Mall (IMM, JEM, Big Box and Westgate)
– Roads with a lots of traffic lights

– There are travelators in hospital.

– There are big windows with bars along the corridor that allow sunlight in.
