For colours, Michael said that I should make the colours brighter instead of it being so dull. Thus I tried to change from the original nude skin colours and went ahead to explore the triadic colour scheme. The triadic colour scheme causes the colours to pop and made it more vibrant which fits my theme even more.

After the feedback gathered in class, I made some changes to my pencil design such as making the swoosh downwards instead of up and integrating an element of “community” in the design.

After more feedback from Michael, I decided to add more visual weight in my design and change the text font as well as orientation.

The initial research brought me to look at 3 predominant ideas: the adventurer, the spirit animal and the lighthouse.

Adventurer:

Although I managed to mould it into a more ambiguous form, it did not feel complete. The feedback I received also included the fact that some of the final versions of the sketches were too complicated.

I realised the potential Read more →

After conceptualising the possible themes I wished to explore, I went more in depth into the possible logo designs.

Initially, I was really interested to do my first concept which was ” A sense of familiarity” so I did a table based on a class exercise we did to explore the possible visuals I could come up with. It was really Read more →

This worksheet helps to break down our design process and critically consider different types of possibility. After completing it, I narrowed down to 3 imageries that best reflects the identity of Art-on-the-Move Programme:

1. Positivity – pocket + craft material

2. Fun – bed

3. Transformation – friends/companian

While all of these sketches are supposed to reflect the identity of the programme, these 3 Read more →

UPDATED CONCEPTS AND

MOOD BOARDS

Good start with lots of visual examples. But you were providing more on the envisioned stylistic approach and outcome. Will be great if you can explore some nouns and adjectives that can represent/ capture the purpose and function of the programme, on which you can treat them with the visual style. Your keys word should words that are appropriate and strong relevance to your concept.
