For colours, Michael said that I should make the colours brighter instead of it being so dull. Thus I tried to change from the original nude skin colours and went ahead to explore the triadic colour scheme. The triadic colour scheme causes the colours to pop and made it more vibrant which fits my theme even more.

Moodboard and Concepts https://oss.adm.ntu.edu.sg/dho010/task-1-information-gathering-and-idea-generating/

Sketch Exploration:

Typeface Explorations: The feedback I got back was the placement a little too chunky and could play more on the placement.

Others: Michael suggested I could remove the center line since the letter ‘A’ is pretty obvious.

Refinement: Explored different placement and adjusted the kerning for certain characters.

Black and white outline version:

Black and white filled version:

Different colour choices:

Pink and yellow work best compared to the other that were too dark or competed for attention against the turquoise vest. I changed the red to pink as the red was not an exciting colour and may have been misinterpreted as the colour of blood.

The initial research brought me to look at 3 predominant ideas: the adventurer, the spirit animal and the lighthouse.

Adventurer:

Although I managed to mould it into a more ambiguous form, it did not feel complete. The feedback I received also included the fact that some of the final versions of the sketches were too complicated.
