Research on Illustrators and editorial magazines.

Joanne Poon

ThisΒ was a poster designed by Joanne Poon for a circus event! I love how all the colors helped to make the event look inviting and fun! The poster along with the other information templates looked unified and belonging to each other too. I think that it is a very successful poster not only because Read more →

REFERENCE ARTISTS

#1 Qwaya_ / scottwon1

Here’s a Korean artist I first encountered and immediately fell in love with at the (very inspiring and absolutely life changing!!!) Seoul Illustration Fair last summer. CLASS EXERCISE

As a prelude to the self-portrait exercise, we partnered up and did a quick sketch of our partners. It’s been a while since I drew analog so this was a great activity to get things started πŸ™‚ I think that doing everything digitally (and also the undo/redo key) has made my working style even messier and I Read more →

@ Viena Lee Lin Tsin

Hello! Here is the process of completing the final piece. Knowing that I wanted to create intricate borders, I knew that I had to draw it out on paper. For the borders, I referenced sea anemones and corals as I also love the sea.Β
