蓝, blue; showcases Koi fishes, a symbol of power, wealth and courage, gliding elegantly in a sea of milk, leaving faint traces in their wake. The Kois are adorned with the distinctive blue and white motifs of Chinese porcelain, signifying the influence of Chinese art and culture along the Silk Road in the 9th Century.

Strands of Time
Strand of Time was an animated media piece made for Elbphilharmonie’s media wall in Hamburg. Under the theme of Silk Road, I delved into the history of dyes and textiles during the time when its reputation was at its peak. The main idea was to restore an ancient fabric and reveal its timelessness.
The chosen source image was a Chinese embroidery Read more →

I’m writing down a checklist of the workflow I did for my animation in C4D:
✓ Model Koi Fish ✓ Animate Koi Fish ✓ Simulate fluid from Realflow (sea of milk) ✓ Collide tags for fish to react with water ✓ Add noise in the water to create a more dynamic flow ✓ Add blue trails on fishes using Turbulence FD ☐ Animate more fishes Read more →

Elphi – Storyboard and Prototypes
Storyboard and colour scheme:
We plan to have 3 clips to our entire video, each running about 30-40 seconds long.
First panel: Our first clip shows the dragon’s exterior. Its body is rocky, mimicking the trails of the silk road that traders had to cross to reach foreign lands to trade. The body wraps the top and bottom of the frame and Read more →
Silk Road: Process (Part 2)
Silk was the main trade of the Silk Road and was mostly exclusive to nobility. To express the unreachable concept – being able to see but not touch, a disintegrating effect will be used to ‘decompose’ the fabric bit by bit.
Chosen Fabric Image:This image has been tested on MAN media wall, resolution is approved.
