An option with bright colours. Inspired from orchid colours again. A festive feel with a brand on its own.

https://www.projectorpeople.com/resources/short-throw.asp

Throw ration: 0.37: 1

Screen size: 1200 cm or smaller (l) x 560 cm (b)

Hence 1200×0.37=44.4 cm Projector has to be this distance away from the screen.

Fish eye lens

I lost my projector design file.

noted. Fish eye lens would be the way to go.

I wonder if it is worth the effort to create the inflatable. It doesn’t look good 🙁

Cantilever’s supports

I searched for cantilever products to come up with a clean and sleek solution, and was inspired by the following items:

I removed the gears and knobs and opted for an accessorising Read more →

The concern is that people will trip over the wire. What about a sail/umbrella approach?
A cantilever umbrella? I think, flags can be pegged on the cables at eye level to catch the attention of passerbys. Otherwise, I will try that out after I redo the speaker and projector. Peer, for scaled model can I simplify the supports to a simple stick for a pole and a wire thread for a cable?  I have to send it to finalised print latest by tomorrow or I will not be able to follow my timeline to prepare for everything else.

Okay I've updated this thread! I'm test printing this

Tilt angle: 11.22 degrees, left and right.

There you go! Looks good... : )

Looking good. Just check how these inflatables are anchored to the ground - tie ropes? This will be asked by someone with technical knowledge...
Okay! Studying it now. Thanks Peer :)

@ Adonis Toh

Explored patterns (octopus/cephalopod skin cells) to be projected onto the model:

Projected Samples:

The designs with the projected patterns looked really heavy and messy.

Tried rendering with a simpler pattern:

Rendered a gif to explore how the product lights up:

Rounded the sharp corners at the front and tried rendering with a different material:

Feedback:

Make the back thicker (1.5″ / 40mm) and round the corners Read more →

Tried other variation of patterns using stripes.

V3.48 has more potentials than V3.481
Hi peer, you mean the first one from the top right? I'll try to put more of the stripes and see how it looks. :)

Inspired by the orchid for its out-of-the-world, irregular form.

Things to include while detailing (& Observations from sail ships):

tensional strings to hold down the structures and the connection Rain cover (using tensile screens) Fabric joints (because large pieces of fabric are joint by many smaller pieces) bulge within pieces of fabric because of inflation

Updates on the detailing (& Eye level view)

Opted for a less exaggerated inflation Read more →
Good idea! Now bring The Eye point to say 1. 5 or 1.6 metres and looks at it from all angles. this would give you an idea of how it will look like...
