The night-caps are a color exercise. I want you to capture the sensation of the night light with paper-cut. First make a study of your colors in gouche paint. you will be handing in this study too. Perhaps you need to make 2 studies. You work until you find the color relationships that create the sensation of the night.
Create your paper-cut using the cardboard backing that is besides the front desk in the classroom. Use glue in your first layer and pins in the 2nd, 3rd, etc…layers giving depth and texture.
I will be grading on your color relationships. Of course you will use your composition & design knowledge also.
