Micro-Project: Video Double

This micro-project is a simple video depiction of me getting into “performance” character, my artistic dance self, one with confidence.

Your micro-project left me wondering what was essential about your double. Since the piece ended with putting on the boots, was that the main focus of your identity transformation? Is your identity then linked to your boots? I liked the various camera angles and the way you constructed yourself by putting on clothes, I was just left wondering who you had become in your video double.

It looks like you two were having too much fun! I liked the playful aspect of the work, and the music provided a nice cartoonish touch. Interesting to see how you were combining movement with the various effects. My suggestion is how to piece together the various elements: music, movement, effects, and visual transformation into a more coherent narrative, one that speaks to your alter egos.

Hi Charlene! This is an interesting and original way to portray shyness! Good job! :)

Very powerful. I am impressed with the way you incorporated your bruises to express an entirely different narrative that is compelling and disturbing. The shifting camera angles are dramatic and convincing.
