How can I better create a sense of immersion in space?  I have failed to get chicken wire, instead I’m considering using tables as a barricade around I’ll probably need four? I think having an elevated space, requiring one to climb to a higher height would help to change the space and bring the audience into a different space.

HI ISSAC! Do check out the readings prof. Louis sent us. It's titled "Setting Stages", it talks about experience economy: educational, escapism, entertainment and esthetic. In all honestly, reading it is only one facade, translating it onto a space is another. I'm trying very hard on my side as well.
different fan's strength with each different fan could also make people feel like they step into a different place everytime they experience a different air.

Chou

@ Ting Chou

The idea is inspired by walking on the frozen lake. In contrast, with the flowing water, people still are able to stand on the surface of water.

Sketches will be added.

How to install: for the material wise, transparent acrylic will be the platform to raise up to the water height. It will not be seen but function as Read more →

Chou

Tuesday, Feb 23, 2016 - 05:00:54 pm

@ Ting Chou

When each person goes into this enclosed space small (room/box), they have to compromise each other’s personal space but also find their comfort zone. Also, it portrays the situation of rising population.

I made some cardboard boxes, and the Read more →

Have you ever wonder what happens when we throw plastic bags away? Have you ever heard of this phrase:

Reuse, reduce & recycle?

@ Naming is Quite a Pain

I thought and I re-thought about my idea about the “dream Box”. As much as I would love to pursue it, I felt that I wasn’t learning or applying the lessons I learnt with regards to space and experience. That I was about to jump the gun to be an “artist” but yet not have my fundamentals sorted out. So Read more →

@ The Anatomy Of Life & Death

Not trying to sound like a broken record, I am doing on the theme of Construction this whole semester for Interactive Spaces. I feel this Read more →
