So viola~ Here’s my two phone holders with a small slit just for the camera so that we can see.

Below is a screenshot of what you are supposed to see. Your “back” and a small window for your “front”. I can’t manage a screen record because the microphone is used for skype.

And here’s a video on how it is gonna Read more →

Prototype failed

The filter effect was not what I expected.

That’s fine, I have another concept to play with…

Putting an item in front of you to distract you.

I want to create a device that will be placed in front of you.

The core idea  of this is that we are motivated by what we see in front Read more →

Step inside “Momentum,” the massive installation from United Visual Artists (UVA) at London’s Barbican Centre. The experience is a void of darkness filled with only 12 illuminated pendulums swinging rhythmically from the sky, creating an evolving composition of light and sound. The unexpected contrast of natural and synthetic patterns is designed to distort your perception of time and physical space

@ The Anatomy Of Life & Death

My second idea was a little more realistic. I decided to think simple, compared to my previous idea. I choose a yellow Construction helmet. Below is my sketch and my reasoning behind it.

As the construction helmet is to actually protect our head from any falling objects in construction site, I still feel that it can still kill Read more →

The One With The Perception

@ The Anatomy Of Life & Death

My first initial idea was to actually imitate Daredevil!

Even though he lost his sense of sight, he was still able to ‘see’ with his other senses. When it was raining, he was able to ‘see’ as he is able to make images with his hearing!

I did a little bit of research on that and it is called Human Echolocation. What Read more →

@ Naming is Quite a Pain

So I decided to build my own “google cardboards”. But of course the simplified version.

I’m gonna use wires or some form of strings to support the phone to the corrugated boards. And maybe similar ways to attach the boxes to the user. :/ Not too sure if it’s the best way but it’s the only way I can think of Read more →

@ Naming is Quite a Pain

I’ve been meaning to share my ideas with regards to devices we are planning to make. Erm. It’s just sprung out of this idea of having a “third eye”. Watching your back almost. Seeing what you can’t.

So I m gonna create phone holders to hold two camera phones, the camera phones will skype each other. The user using the device Read more →

So Prof. Louis brought in cling wraps to class and hoped we wrap each other up. With the idea of tension and release, I don’t think it went too well. There wasn’t any feelings to it other than the struggle to want to incorporate pre-conceived notions to it. Hahaha. And maybe I’m so used to being adult and not having Read more →

So, my classmate Issac and I were supposed to “do something” with a pen. Well everybody was supposed to do something with objects as well and I think it was equally awkward as it is. Issac started to use the basic function of a pen and attempted to “draw” on me. A very boyish action but interesting as Read more →
