@ The Anatomy Of Life & Death

There are the final images for today’s installation! What a day to end Interactive Spaces! I would definitely can imagine this going to a gallery and hang it on a wall and hide those wires behind those walls!  Is this taken at ADM? Nope it is not.

The solenoid works!

Definitely can do better with the wires organisation.

Creating a sound that was… nicer?

Instead of using a Sine curve as I did, I used a ‘switch’ statement and a sound modulator to create a kind of instrument based off manipulating some sample sounds.

The objective was to get a range of harmonizing sounds that felt like the installation was actually an instrument instead of some weird machine.

This is final stretch for the semester. One more weekend to go.

I manage to create an instrument that is triggered based on the blob tracking and a tone generator.  The follow up to this is to create a system with the balloons.

Here’s a preview of how the balloons would look.

@ KENDRA+MELTZER

Lives Within a Cave is the final installation to my original Life Tunnel. The concept continues to represent obstacles in our lives. For the final I took a bigger approch by adding additional lighting, audio sound effects and projection mapping onto the surface. All the effects made the installation come to life the surroundings gave the feeling of actually being immersed Read more →

Invasion of space -process

@ Ting Chou

This is the update of my final project. My Initial idea is to  built an interactive installation by boxes. People could stand in front or behind the boxes. By moving the boxes, the motor inside each box will be triggered, hence the sound will be generated.

We have been dealing with personal space ever since we were born. Even unborn twins fighting for Read more →

@ C I N D Y

Hello!

So the past week I was learning Arduino on the web, researching on the inflatables and as well as watching Arduino tutorials. It’s been a challenge to get started as I haven’t been exposed to Arduino yet. Thankfully, the online tutorials were quite helpful and I managed to piece everything (correctly). Also, with the help of Prof LPD, I was able Read more →

@ The Anatomy Of Life & Death

Getting it powered by Arduino’s 5v is not good enough. Solenoid needs more impact so we decide to go with 12v’s Solenoid that can be found at Sim Lim Tower for a cost of $8.90. At the 3rd Level. Followed a tutorial online on how to program a solenoid and it works as well. But the part is, i would Read more →

The One With The Bracket & Solenoid

@ The Anatomy Of Life & Death

Yesterday I bought some brackets to try to fix it with the solenoid. Today I managed to complete the task.

I tried 2 different spot on the helmet to secure my solenoid to, at the top and at the back.

The top one is fine but it is difficult to mount the bracket as there is not even surface as Read more →
