1.Reiser to the rescue(Upgraded version)

This is a Google cardboard mobile game develop from my previous project called Reiser to the rescue.

Inspiration

Reiser to the rescue was a 2d pixel html space shooting game, with score system, life counter and leveling system, and it was controlled by mouse clicking. I want to develop it into a more Read more →

Hi Daning, great work on the two WBS, I can tell you're getting into the 'planner' mode of thinking!

1.It’s time for Singlish

It is a social mobile application based in Singapore.

This mobile application allows people to share memes pictures. People can upload their own photos and edit or adding caption on the pics. What they want to share could be static image, simple gif or pics embed audio. However, users can only use Singlish for the funny caption and audio. It Read more →

hi Danning, i don't think i saw all of these ideas previously in class!? (they seem to be posted 14 April...) Many very good ideas, and worked out to some detail, too. I think that #3 and #5 could be combined – both have the core idea of creating a competition-oriented social event. If you want to pursue in this direction there's much to be done with mobile media in performance/competition, could be an interesting FYP I think.

Project 1: Game Installation

For my individual project, I am looking to create an installation based on games, an expansion from a previous idea called Game Face.

It is commonplace for players to record themselves while they’re playing a game and post it online, or even live-stream their adventures on twitch. We watch them react to situations in the game, and Read more →

hi Josephine (and Darryl), very clear descriptions, and supporting material. One important next detail is to identify Milestones in the timeline. Not too many, maybe 3 or 4. This helps you determine objectives of the various elements in the chart, to portion out the work more evenly in time, and keep you on track (i.e. plan execution controls).

The guest lecture with Justin was a really good experience and it really opened my eyes to the reality of the gaming industry. As much as it sounds fun and exciting to be a part of the industry, Justin also tells us that there is a lot to think about and that there is a lot more that is required to Read more →

Good comments. I agree that much of the BFA is insulated from the "money realities" that you are likely to encounter afterwards. The Project Dev&Plan course aims to open up, at least a bit, towards such matters. Having Justin Tan in as guest speaker was, I think, a bit of a reality check for most - and a healthy reminder for some that academia isn't everything.
Re-reading your writeup/report after reading your asg. You seem to have been very inspired by JT and ideas for a fashion game have taken full flight. Besides the overall pixel art aesthetics, I'm not sure how much it relates to the original CubeTractor game, but this is a smaller concern. Glad to see your creative juices flowing.

@ Josephine

For my first idea, it is actually something I was thinking of pitching for my part-time job at Red Bull, which  would be to create a freshmen care package for the incoming NTU freshmen. As of now they have a moving-in package for those staying in halls but not across the faculties. I am proposing to make a small booklet of Read more →
