1.Smart Phone Game

I want to create a smart phone game for iOS and Android. It’s a puzzle game builded in a tactile 3D world. It is similar as game ‘The Room” series. Player has to unlock the secrets of every object inside. It’s mysterious, challengeable but easy to get started.

#1:  Platform for course material.

Many students like to share their material and to help each other, so I feel that there should be a free portal that makes this easier and to faciliate the learningprocess. The objective is that the portal should contain relevant material such as lecture notes, course summaries, exams, projects (like FYP) on all courses offered by Read more →

Very interesting. I like that you've done work on the WBS!

Perfect Pitch Part 2

@ Josephine

For my first idea, I had proposed to make an riddle based escape room. I would potentially keep the same idea, but as an individual project it would be a bit more difficult. So, individually I would develop it as more of a simple maze type game which would require the player to find their way out of a maze Read more →

Good. Can you give you ideas titles (working-titles)?

The One With The Imperfect Pitch Part 2

@ The Anatomy Of Life & Death

Conceptualising ideas quickly usually has its drawback, they are quick, lazy and lack substance. But I am going to try one anyway.

To create an interactive sound scape installation that explores the issue of construction. This installation will made up of objects related to construction, that will produce abstract sound, based on data related to figures and numbers Read more →

You are right that 'quick work' lacks depth. The strategy we are following aims for 'breadth first, depth later'. In the coming weeks we narrow down to fewer, deeper, and certainly (!) better project ideas. It's boosting the creative juices to produce, and it's boosting our judgement skills by throwing things away. Trashbin is near at hand. I notice you had a GanttProject chart! i'm pleased that you're trying this tool out. Check out task dependencies - it's the 2nd tab in the task pop-up window. You can also click-drag to connect tasks (by default you get a 'strong start-finish' dependency)

Hello, It’s me again.

For this week, our task is to prepare three (3) potential idea-topics as part of the ‘perfect pitch’ assignment. As mentioned/presented last week, my first 2 ideas are:

For the individual project, I am thinking of doing a project that can bring attention to the environmental issues associated with plastic bags.

It will be an installation of plastic bags, where the Read more →

hello cindy! Nice work with the WBS! i think it would be good if you can add the rough estimate price of the budget onto the paper as well. then it would make perfect sense. I think your rain room idea is very brilliant but i do not think ADM is a good place. I imagine it to be a bigger space! Like one huge gallery space would make the experience much more interesting!
Now I see that you had actually prepared work breakdown structures! You should definitely include that in your presentation (why not yesterday??). For next occasion, in two weeks, it will be required that presentations are supported with WBS, timeline (could be Gantt chart) and budget, so it's great that you've already gotten started.
I had to double check what you wrote earlier abt the 'plastic bags'... This is very doable as FYP, don't give it up. Though the Internet-pillow is a potential entrepreneurship hit...
I'm actually doing a prototype now as part of my assignment in class. Check out: https://oss.adm.ntu.edu.sg/chan0724/progress-update-plastic-waste-part-2/

Pitch #1

For the individual project I was thinking of experimenting with an interactive installation focusing on sound as an art piece. Testing echo’s and different pitches. $500 would be an acceptable budget for this installation, seeing as it would utilize an empty room with speakers and microphones.

Pitch #2

For my long term pair pitch I want to focus on bringing art into Read more →

Nice. 1) to work with room echo & pitches of sounds, the acoustics of the space is a crucial point. Around ADM there are different kinds of spaces that have rather extreme soundscapes! for example, staircases with extremely long reverberation time (amount of echo). How about it you walk around different rooms and take note of how you feel the acoustics are? 2) wow this sounds like big-budget public art. OK. Would you be considering specific locations? do you think of your contribution as one of curating? (rather than making 'huge sculptures' yourself). Take a look at this: http://www.lta.gov.sg/content/ltaweb/en/public-transport/mrt-and-lrt-trains/art-and-architecture/art-in-transit/open-public-call-for-artists.html

All the projects by Prof. Louis-Philippe Demers is unique and thought-provoking.

The projects deal mainly around technology, would you say you’re limited by the technology available to execute the project or is the technology engage limited by the project itself?
