Hello everyone!

The movie I chose was Studio Ghibli’s “Spirited Away” by Hayao Miyazaki! This was the second Ghibli film I watched (the first being Totoro), and it really left an impact on me because the animation was beautiful and it had an extremely meaningful storyline. Till now I still remember some of the lines by the characters! Anyhow, the quotes I chose Read more →

I love the choice of the movie..1) 1st Image: - the circle still does not look like an eye> you might need outline of the eye with eye lids and lashes and not only iris..You were right the hanging bridge looks great! better than the classic 'london' bridge kind.. 2) 2nd Image: -the girl out of the frame is the best 3) 3rd Image: -the big clock surrounding the flower is the best - 3rd from the top? If you want to include variation of the same image maybe you put them into one table. 4) 4th Image: -my favorite is still the bore face surrounded with plates. You can use both for media wall.. Please refer to my earlier post on the final formatting and include name of the film at the end of your quote:) In regards to the upload on OSS- It would be good to include the border to each image- so we can identify the square format of your composition as the OSS white background is interfering with your images and it is hard to see what is the image and what the screen background . Let me know if you r in class tomorrow?

I was really excited for this because I have never tried silkscreening before. I didn’t know the process would be so long and tedious but it was all so fun and interesting.

This is the design that I chose to silkscreen onto my bag and the quote is “Witness Me”.

I did the silkscreen multiple times on paper. The first time I Read more →

For the project, Forrest Gump, we are required to create a visual interpretation of our favourite movie quote.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s is the movie of my choice! I love watching this movie, being that I could somehow relate to the main character, and the words she’d say just hits me in words I can’t really explain.

Hi everyone! I guess I will kick start Assignment 2 by posting the 4 selected quotes from the movie….. POCAHONTAS!

A short summary of the movie:

Pocahontas is an animated feature film by Disney. The film is based on a real historic character, the known history, and the folklore and legend that surrounds the Native American woman Pocahontas, and features a fictionalized account of her encounter Read more →

Omgggggg I love Pocahontas!!!! (oh no a dark spin D: )
SPIN IT ALL THE WAY INTO THE DARKNESS. Except for the palefaces. These are nice quotes. Very soulful.
Awesome! Thank you for posting. The vintage treatment will do good to this so well-known movie. It will be so interesting to see the inspiration and the reference images for the quotes and design thinking.
