Point of View (Research II)

Because The Little Prince is a book for children, I decided to add some textures onto my work just like a children’s book. The mixture of creepiness (mental illnesses) and the sense of touch (children’s book) seems really interesting and exciting to me.
To get myself started, I did a research on textile children’s books.

Or another example, using collage…
From the previous collage trial, Prof re-introduced me to synecdoche and I did a few research before proceeding to the next phase of trying to incorporate synecdoche Read more →

So with all the little by little research, I tried to do my own collage using brochures. That was the initial idea so I randomly teared brochures and tried to put my idea from what i imagined to paper…. But it didn’t turn out the way I wanted to.

Below are some of the inspiration tabs I screenshot while researching.

I read The Little Prince a few weeks ago and I got really excited about the drawing that the Little Prince drew.
The Little Prince drew a picture of a boa constrictor that ate an elephant and he asked some adults to guess what it was, and they thought it was a hat.
I realised that a simple picture Read more →
