I am very into textures and using unconventional materials to express my ideas. I enjoy the use of a different sense to accentuate my idea.

Firstly, the final.

This is the typography. It’s a one eyed cat, which I usually use as a symbol for myself. Although this “symbol” has evolved in style.

For example, this was a previous design that was screen printed on the back of a shirt~

This time the one eyed cat is made up of the letters Read more →

Some pictures for the process work I’ve done so far!

The greek mythology is great- but the last two images are becoming too cartoony...crossing into literal story illustration.. the earlier morphing of Greek myth and type, is more exciting! So as long as we do not go too literal and cartoony it would be better..also remember you need to find image that would illustrate describe various subjects such as for example imaginary professions and/or affirmations. Hope this helps!

I went to Pinterest to look for typography inspiration!

In all honesty, I never really got into typography. I do like looking at it (and get very jealous and sad that my handwriting is absolutely terrible), but I was never compelled to do anything related to the field. So this was a good chance to expand my horizons and take look Read more →

I am super excited that you are one of the first classmates to start uploading your research for Project 1. looking forward to more online submissions

I wasn’t really sure where I wanted to start or what I wanted to represent myself when we received this exercise, so I just played around and somehow stumbled upon the ideas for my final!

nice process documentation! to make it even better-consider editing images that seems taken by camera. Either edit by changing into black and white and adjust brightness/levels. Or edit in your phone by adding filter ( like we can do for taking instagram photos) ..everything we post has to be slightly edited before posted to look nicer. With instagram and ways to edit images - it would look better.
