Here, I tested out the original scans and wanted to make them usable since the original colors are pretty interesting…

The circle really tie in with the whole Chinese theme I going on here.

Loading…

I started this zine by questioning the relevance of making a physical zine when there were so many e zines available online. Exploring the color schemes of my zine pages….should I go for a blue toned menu or red toned menu? At this stage I was more or less figuring out the theme of my zine.

After doing the red version of my zine I realised that the red Read more →

I contemplated while working on this idea of showing decomposition in terms of texture in the zine. In this context, decomposition shows the life of a Nike shoe — a cycle, starting of the book being all vibrant with colours just like how fruits are colourful when it is ripe and fresh to be eaten.

However, as you Read more →

I was looking for inspiration for project zine and came across this Going Home Zine by Rachel Katstaller.

Tracing paper was used as pages in this zine, and it gave my some ideas for my own zine.

Since my POV projects were about pilot whales and how they’re viewed, I could use the tracing paper to include the POV Read more →

My main purpose of doing the test prints were to explore the formatting of the pages. Firstly because I was not very good at InDesign…

In my sleep deprived mind that night, for some reason I thought formatting on Microsoft word might be a good solution to removing the borders from the printed images… (It wasn’t. which is why I did not Read more →

A gallery of the digital pages (In the way I arranged them for printing, not the proper reading order >_<)

I think, in the end, my zine turned out to be a good extension of my POV project…

For the cover page I chose a shimmery paper because I just couldn’t resist, I love shimmery paper XD

No but seriously the way Read more →
