Jonathan Pagaard

@ My_site

Before the lecture Monday 17/10/16 we had decided upon following aspects of our project idea:

Framing of problem We want to activate dead spaces in the MRT to draw people’s attention and make them interact with the wall instead of using their mobile phones when the walk through the MRT.

On the same time we believe it can have a positive Read more →

Good examples and the storyboard you created is a good start.  It seems there is a lot more interactive displays of the kind you're developing at airports.  Why might that be?  What are the similarities and differences in user experience at airports vs. MRT (amount of time spent at airport is longer, more leisure or wait time).  So airports can exploit the amount of time users spend there and provide alternative experiences.  How would you exploit the kind of activity users have at the MRT for your project?

These are all good examples of the possibilities and perceived needs that the fashion industry is anticipating.  How do these examples and findings help with the direction of your project?
You should also have, by now, a title and description of your project posted.  Where is this?

Gamification to improve our world: Yu-kai Chou at TEDx Lausanne

These are all wonderful examples.  One of the reasons you can do this at an airport is also because people spend more time there waiting for flights etc.  How might the conditions be similar or different in the Singapore MRT?  How might you exploit the conditions of user movement or transit through the MRT passageways?

I found this interesting video showcasing Barcelona’s approach to designing the city, integrating the use of side-walks, public spaces, and implementing a new system for car use. It is a rather interesting concept that they are testing out for their grid-like city landscape, and I thought I would like to Read more →

Good interview.  What are your conclusions from the interview?  What did you learn that you didn't expect?  One thing I thought was interesting is that your interviewee didn't want to be bombarded with images and text after exiting.  So how does that effect your project goals?

Defining our concept

Hanna McLachlan

@ Hanna UX Design

At our group meeting we discussed the three ideas we had form last class and chose to focus more specifically on utilising the corridor spaces in MRT stations.

Designing on the platforms came a close second as we would be able to tackle a ‘practical’ problem of people waiting in the wrong areas for the train/people getting onto busy carriages when Read more →
