After weeks of consultation and tweaking, the final artwork was as below:

I wanted to give it a contemporary feel hence the font chosen. Texture was also used to suggest blood stains and the sac at the bottom of the mosquito where blood is usually collected. After the second round of edits, feedback was given that:

hierarchy/ negative space needed to be stronger smaller text/ text did not have to be so huge to show emphasis sweet spot of placement – the placement of the text was a little awkward and clunky placement of mosquito bite – not very realistic

Final work…

My final composition is a result of the feedback from the previous consultations. The actual print itself was not that great due to the colour turnout(was slightly darker).

I had another variation, which was this, but I decided to put up only the one shown above.

Purpose: To remind the viewer of the power they hold in curbing the spread of Zika.

My poster emphasises how small actions make a big difference when combating Zika. The viewer sees a domestic space in the demarcated box, and sees a variety of pails and jugs. This entire poster was created using Illustrator. The layout was inspired by tarot cards, an idea from Kristin Gissendanner, who also did a health poster resembling a tarot card. Moving onto the final artwork of this project, I have chosen to stick to the design with a mosquito looking forward at the viewer.

Here is my final Health communication Poster! initially i had some problems with the RGB and CMYK conversion, but It turned out pretty good for me.

I could have changed the text at the bottom to be darker, because the print was not so clear.
