Joan! I came across this website http://archive.bigspaceship.com/thegrudge/ which I thought might be of help. I love how it managed to create the suspense while you navigate through. Maybe your sound effects can be as 'heart-thumping' as this one haha

Thank you Dina! I checked out the site, it's really scary, especially because of the suspense and the graphics! I'll be sure to try to incorporate some of those elements into my project haha :)
