Among the designers we have been introduced in class, I would say that I can relate to Fukasawa’s design philosophy of simplicity. He also has the philosophy of  “Objective Thinking”, where he stated that we should not express our own mind through the product.

The designer I best identify with is Naoto Fukasawa.

His designs are organic, minimalistic, and intuitive, which is closest to my design aesthetics and what I’d hope to do in future. Born in Yamanashi Prefecture in 1956, Fukasawa has been described by Bloomberg Businessweek as one of the world’s most influential designers. The designer that I most identify with is Naoto Fukasawa.

I like his simplistic style with appropriate details and colour. He uses one colour for his product to keep it simple but still impactful at the same time. His designs are straight-forward and able to communicate visually to users (on its functions etc).

The artist I most identify with is Naoto Fukasawa.

I am able to connect with the use of curves in his simplistic designs. His designs are simple and shares a sense of thoughtfulness to the user experience that is intuitive and yet not flashy at the same time.
