1st Portrait
I started off the portrait slightly to the right side and balance out the composition by adding the dark brown on the left.

Outdoor Painting – Chinatown
2nd Night Painting
The directional lines of the road and shelter create a point of entry. The texture on the tree, at the foreground, create an interesting focus point.
Tonal Study
1st Night Painting
This artwork was painted from the view at ADM rooftop. To balance out the composition, the buildings with lights were placed on the left and right side of the painting. The main composition was the three different layers of the sky, the mid area (buildings, trees, lights) and the foreground of the slope at the bottom of the painting. The focus point would be around the white street light area, which may include the buildings on the left and the tree at the center. The trees and the other vegetations were in different tones. Some were in black and some were added with a hint of blue or green or yellow to give a slight variation.
2nd Still Life Painting
This second still life painting is quite challenging. It was a struggle to paint the stripes of the cloth and the shadows. However, I like the overall colours selection of the items placed together. The focus point could be the green cup that was surrounded by the pink flowers. Another focus point would be the red bowl with directional lines (the strong contrast of cream and black lines) pointed towards it.
