Ego in different setting – WIP 02 (Research on idea : PART 1)

After seeing the example of what I could actually do for this assignment, I thought that perhaps I would either go back to doing something similar to the first assignment or I would draw it out. After assignment two, I was dying to draw something. So when I knew that I could do that I was really excited yet relieved for some reason?  Perhaps it was the thought of doing something that I was actually comfortable and familiar with or something that I have interest in unlike assignment two.

Now to thinking about the medium and style, I am not really sure of which medium to go for, whether it is traditional or digital. I am not really confident with using traditional medium but I guess I really should not limit myself considering how 2D is about trying and testing things out. I thought that if I were to by any chance do my work digitally, I should try out out in traditional medium first. Even if I were to do my final work in traditional work, I should try out all the medium. I might actually find something that would be interesting instead of sticking to something that I know for sure work, like what I did for assignment one.

I thought of finding some artist to start off the try-out. I want to find something that screams me. The style could be from something that I like in my daily life, like graphic t-shirts for examples. So I thought of trying out trying out textile designs, which have always intrigue me. I really like repetitive patterns, somehow they calm me down, especially those found on clothes.

I thought of having a specific item appear in all the panel to represent me perhaps? Since I am someone who really like flowers even though I may not seem like it. They are the wonder of nature! I also thought of giving my panels are more illustrated feel, giving it a more edgy look to them.

Some of the textile which I find interesting on Pinterest and perhaps something that I could use as inspirations.

There is already a lot of different type of style from the few examples that I found, from repetition of the same item to having a mixture of the same object/subject in different positions. That was something that I did not thought of but I found interesting. Probably an idea that I will use for the panels.
