Concept
Phylum ctenophora.
More commonly known as the comb jellyfish.
They utilize rows of tiny cilia along their transparent bodies to move.
Diffracted light from this movement creates rainbows that chase down the length of their combs.
The Phora dress draws inspiration from the undulating display by the delicate ctenophora,
encasing the wearer in a translucent bubble lit with hundreds of lights.
Spectrums of colour pulse in time with the wearer’s heartbeat.
Mesmerizing the audience and ensnaring them in a hypnotic spectacle.

(Display model is a simulation and does not feature a pulse sensor)

Medium
Lamé, chiffon, tulle, flat plastic boning, fiberglass rod, LED wire.
