Thoughts about Tang shipwreck gallery presentation

Hey Sujatha!

My team and I visited the Asian Civilisation Museum today and the exhibition about the Tang shipwreck was fantastic! We didn’t manage to find the Dehua kiln ceramics, but instead there were some examples of pure-white porcelain which is quite similar.

We decided on a rough structure for the presentation, which will begin with basic information about the Tang shipwreck and its objects/controversies/people involved, followed by a more in-depth exploration of the designs on the various ceramics. This will be supplemented with 2/3 examples of ceramic artefacts found in the exhibition and some information on the choice of design/material/stye of illustration used/possible influences etc.

What do you think of our proposed presentation structure?

We aren’t quite sure how to approach this presentation and how in-depth the content should be so we decided to get your opinion first.

Looking forward to your reply

Andrew
