Introduction to Foam Blocks | Version 2: Amendments to Cantilever Models

Hello!

Both Models 1 and 2 are constructed using foam blocks with an attempt to demonstrate my new understanding of the term cantilever based off what I had taken from last class as we discussed about the concept.

Clarifying Notes:

Red – Dominant

Yellow – Sub-dominant

Blue – Sub-ordinate

Cantilever Formula: 1/3 L < L < 1/2L

Lengths of all sides of both Sub-ordinates and Sub-dominants do not exceed the rule of ‘no more than half of the Dominant’s volume’.

AKA: (Cantilevers should not exceed more than half of dominant’s size).

Cantilevers are composed by wedging.

No flushing. (Flushing is when one side of one block meets another side perfectly)

There is an ability to see all objects from all sides.

The rest is demonstrated and written down within my 2D sketch analysis of the 3D models.
