Throughout this whole documentary, there’s no dramatic emotion. Just only a panel of stern looking judges and are subjected to a rigorous medical examination. Alla’s legs are too short, she tries to meet the admission requirements with strong determinations although she’s still a child. With the help of her mother, she does painful exercises at home that will hopefully lengthen her legs.
Sadly, a requirement is a requirement. The movie is showing a cruel reality in a silent way.
