Hand Crafted Line and Artist Reference

Since my previous attempt to emulate Mondrian’s work was not successful, I tried to re-create his work: “Composition in Red, Blue, and Yellow”

Using vertical and horizontal intersecting lines, I came up with this:

However, I forgot that this project was limited to black and white only and so, I changed the colour to grayscale to achieve the black and white theme.

In my opinion, Mondrian’s work is best achieved when the canvas space is larger. Since our project is centred on thin lines (257mm by 60mm), it was quite challenging to create a rhythmic piece of work within that assigned small space.
