[HoD] Artists’ Manifesto – Artist’s Medical Report + Process

Artist’s Medical Report:

Concept:

Throughout history, artists play an important role in society by providing commentary through art. Therefore, the role of an artist is often a serious yet heavily undermined one. Even in today’s more open-minded society, the stigma against artists still prevail. Many people still don’t take artists seriously. Artistic careers are one of the most underpaid and underappreciated. This has serious repercussions on artists themselves, as they try even harder to prove themselves to a world that would not take them seriously. By taking themselves so seriously, the creative minds of artists are being hindered, preventing them from reaching their fullest potential.

This manifesto is not inspired by any specific art movement, but it is definitely inspired by the artists behind each movement. These artists didn’t want to remain passive any longer and made their voices heard through art.

Medical history:

The above-mentioned patient was seen on DD/MM/YY. She has a history of not being taken seriously by clients, and even family members and friends. This resulted in the patient taking herself too seriously. She is her own worst critic – no work is ever good enough for them because she tries so hard to prove herself.

Symptoms:

  • Stuck in a rut, unable to generate good enough ideas
  • Overthinking and overcomplicating ideas

Diagnosis:

FOR GOONESS SAKE, STOP TAKING YOURSELF SO SERIOUSLY.

JUST LET LOOSE AND HAVE FUN WITH YOUR DESIGNS.

  • 1 dosage of I don’t give a sh*t

If symptoms persist, increase dosage of medication. Last but not least, have faith in yourself and trust in the design process.
