A LINE IS A DOT THAT WENT FOR A WALK

The title says it all. This was a very tedious and time consuming project. However, it was quite interesting and a little fun actually. In a way trying to define 18 emotions made me learn about myself more. How I feel and visualize them and also how to approach them.

THE EXPERIMENTATION AND EXPLORATIONS

As you can see below, I started the process by finding out what each emotions means. At first I tried using the dictionary, but I find some, in fact most of them was easier if I use my own definition.

I felt my sketchbook limited my experimentation. As a result I ended up using a lot of different type of medias: different types of pens, papers, copics, paint, etc.

Some emotions was very clear from the beginning. I immediately know what I want on paper. Others was different case. Some needed 2 to 4 different variations, others such as “turbulent” took me 8.
