The final four compositions that were chosen. Included monoprints as background for three of four compositions as it fits the mood of the respective stanzas.
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. A wall of royalty and the crown surrounded by a halo which reigns over and rules over everything else.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. Had a little word play for this stanza and interpreted “fall” as one of the seasons. Hence the pumpkins, falling leaves and squirrels. Also, the monoprint functions as the wind that is consistently present all around.
All the king’s horses and all the king’s men. Literally. The monoprint used signifies blood, like how soldiers and horses are always linked to bloodshed and war.
All the king’s horses and all the king’s men. Played around with the Chinese word for horse which encompasses the chinese word for king right at the top too. Super imposed some soldiers all over the word and hence, the stanza. All the King’s men and King’s horses.
