Follow The Sound Technical

Follow The Sound was built up from a number of draft patches.

This post will be elaborating the final components of the patch and the video.

This is part of the patch that controls the directional sound to guide the blindfolded people through the space. When there is the desired signal configuration being registered by the patch from the gyroscope, it will trigger the onebang object which will send another bang to one of the 8 possible combinations.

Using the line object, it will show a gradual increase/decrease of the values to bring out the gradual movement of the sound from one corner to the other.

There are 4 sounds to be triggered in the set up. Each sound is triggered by a sensor. A bend sensor, light, and 2 infrared distance sensor. Their signals will be sent through a onebang object to trigger the sound file when the desired signal is registered.

Lastly, they will all come into the ambisonic doppler patch. Modified from the example to be able to control the ambisonic using the gyroscope and the directional sounds and also added in another sound input.
