Device of the Week: LEB

LEB (Light Emitting Ball) is a ball that is filled with LED strips and it reacts to sound and motion.

Inspired by TeamLabs Light Ball Orchestra, i tried to search for something similar but more compact and portable – which was the LEB.

Being able to grab it with your hand, there is the idea of portability and possibly engaging in any space with others.

Uses accelerometer and microphone as sensors

Pros:
Portable – able to carry around to engage in different spaces
2 sensors – able to sense the the motion and sound of the surroundings

Cons:
May not be able to bring out effects when collide with other balls – engagement with others may not work.
Not enclosed; only has a ‘skeletal’ cover – may be damaged and not work as well.
