Hey y’all,

The movie quotes I have decided on are:

  1. We are not things https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slTH9lFJjKU
  2. Witness me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KlSuGNt8e4
  3. I live. I die. I live again https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHJnE4H0idQ

(**YAYYYYYY! I found links for all my quotes** You can watch themt to get a rough sense of what the movie is about)

To me, these were very memorable quotes and scenes from the movie. However, it was a little tough at the beginning coming out with a concept because all I could think of were literal and directly from the movie. I am not somebody who can think really abstract so it was a little challenging. And while thinking of the quotes, the scenes from the movie just kept replaying. I was stuck. But I was doing some research and came across something super interesting.

This was a fanart that I found online, which was reallllyyyyy interesting.

I started thinking through some of the themes from the movie and decided that YES! I can reimagine this in terms of ancient egypt.

I could see it working because for example the quote “I LIVE. I DIE. I LIVE AGAIN” — This had the concept of rebirth which was something the egyptians believed in (life after death).

Hence, I started looking for images for this project.
