Process: Locale InDesign Layout

stage one: photo editing

I adjusted the hues and saturation of each photo and overlayed them on top of one another at 55% opacity.

stage two: layout

The photos are placed in the spreads first, followed by computer symbols and text.

stage three: cover design

Overlays from the inner spreads are selected to add on the cover, as a preview to what’s inside.

stage four: saddle stitch arrangement

Using scrap pieces of paper, I made a mini saddle-stitched booklet and wrote down where each page should go. Then, in the document setup of the indesign file, I changed the start page number to #2 so that all the pages line up two by two for printing as double-sided single sheets.
