The criss crossing of the wooden structure is very interesting, more of it can be adopted across the entire model. It also adds rigidity to the model. There could be more contrast between the coloured shapes/volumes in terms of their sizes. The coloured shapes all over the painting gives it a very playful quality, more of them should be present in your composition.
