Week 1
To start off this project, I’ve researched on quite a few potential quotes, ranging from animation film to movies! 😀
A few movie quotes that I’ve researched on:
Cinderella, Fairy godmother | On the stroke of 12 spells will be broken, and everything will be as it was before. |
Pocahontas | If you walk the footsteps of a stranger, you will learn things you never knew |
Blade Runner, Roy Batty | All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain |
Three Amigos, El Guapo | You cannot force open the petals of a flower. When the flower is ready, it opens itself up to you |
Maleficent | I had wings once, and it was strong, but it was stolen away from me. |
Maleficent | You stole what was left of my heart. And now I’ve lost you forever. |
Mulan | The flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest and beautiful of all |
Pocahontas | Two hopeful hearts, two lands apart. Together there is no end to where our dream can start |
Finding Nemo, Dory | When life gets you down, just keep swimming |
Finally, I’ve decided on these four quotes that I really like that I would like to work on!
Final four quotes I’ve decided on!
1) Titanic
“A woman’s heart is a deep ocean of secrets.”
My interpretation:
A woman’s heart is something that is difficult to be understood and uncover, like a treasure chest weight down deep in the sea that can never be unlocked.
Breaking down of the element representation:
Woman – heels, lipstick, flower
Secret – treasure chest
Deep – anchor
Sea – waves
2) MULAN
“When will my reflection show who I’m inside?”
My interpretation:
In our life we need to fulfill many different roles, we will never be sure of when will be able to find our true self.
Breaking down of the element representation:
When – clock
Reflections – mirror
Different roles – candy, school uniform, heels, friendship band
3) The good dinosaur
“Sometimes you gotta’ get through your fear to see the beauty on the other side.”
My interpretation:
Sometimes, getting through our fear isn’t a bad thing because after getting through them is when we finally find inner peace and freedom. It is when we are able to have a clearer overview of everything without getting blinded by our fear.
Breaking down of the element representation:
Get through – A hand getting through to reach out for something.
Fear – knife, blood
Beauty – clouds, flowers, angels
4) Interstellar
“We used to look up at the sky and wonder at our place in the stars. Now we just look down and worry about our place in the dirt.”
My interpretation:
When we are young we use to look up in the sky full of dreams and hopes, now as we grow older we look down full of burden with a lot of worries as reality hit on us.
Breaking down of the element representation:
Child – teddy bear
Adult – heels
Hope – dove, stars
Hopeless – withered plant and leaves
