Since I came to NTU, the SRC’s basketball court somehow become a place that has a special meaning to me. Every week, I always look forward to go to the basketball court. Stepping inside the basketball court somehow makes my problems fade for a second. My mind is filled with excitement.

Basketball is a sport that you can’t play without passion. Otherwise, it would be meaningless. The only goal is to get to the other side of the court and score. Nevertheless, it’s a though journey.

In this picture, I gave the red-ish shade to picture the tension and excitement in playing basketball. The two hoops emphasizes that basketball is a competitive sport. I try to picture the hardship to score by taking picture of the whole court, which give the ‘far away’ feeling.

Always focus on your goal and don’t get too emotional. Keep calm. Sometimes our emotions deter us from our goals.

Here I use the bottom POV to show the viewer what basketball players see when they are trying to score. The sun and the hoop coincides, which emphasize how players focus themselves to the hoop while playing. The blue-ish atmosphere is to potray calmness and red shade at the intersection of the sun and the hoop to potray the main goal of this sport.

After game, there will be this satisfied feeling – happiness. Sitting on the bench under the tree, with the view of the court, either when others are playing or not, makes me feel relaxed and fulfilled.

In this picture, I take the picture from the POV of the bench. I want the viewer to feel the relaxing atmosphere by sitting there. Hence the light blue shades, to show the cool atmosphere that the players felt after game.
