Standard

  1. To evaluate the need for enlivening at the selected locations.
  2. To collate quantitative public opinions on the stress and happiness level in their daily routine.
  3. To gauge the interactivity level in the public via trialing with simple interactive objects.

And to do so, (1) the observation studies will look out for places that are currently not well utilized, by spotting the urban rhythms of the pedestrians passing through the place; rhythms found in activity in human and spatial interactions. A lacklustre place will tend to missed a sense of place (identity and character of urban places); where the urban rhythms influencing the place, make the place feels distant and stale of social-spatial interactions. Therefore, this place will be ideal for space activation and enlivening by injecting some playful rhythms into the neutral space.

(2) To better understand the situation between stress, play and fast pace of life. First portion will be on-site engagement with the community; survey was conducted with public respondents.

(3) Secondly, a interaction machine was made to test the potential and willingness to interactive of the public. This interaction machine is a simple setup design to make survey more playful and interactive.
