in Lines (Artist Research)

(Test) Paint-Glue Variations

I used the paint-glue mix to create ripples- I meant to make a calming, lyrical effect (like sound waves or ripples on the water) After consultation with Prof Ina, I realised that it looks rather flat so I decided that I had to add another transparency over it with more ripples on it to give it a more dynamic effect.

I was imagining what it would be like to be distracted- so I did these lines while watching something on Youtube^ ^"

I was going for a mess of bizarre lines and craziness while channeling forth my inner Tim Burton and Jackson Pollock. These were originally two separate pieces but Prof Ina suggested that they look better together! They look more complex and confusing this way which is great!

I wasn't sure what I was going for with this set of lines- but I really liked the effect on the back of the transparency- the straight lines of paint were caused by the drying threads (from my threads video) that had stuck to the back while I was walking back from school.
