I studied the compositions and tones of Frank Webb’s paintings of houses and I plan to do 2 landscapes from trips during my exchange programme:

b. A snowy blue toned evening in Iceland with singular light source

If you want more dynamics for your images, you can try to skew and resize the house just like what Frank Webb did those images. Colors will also help you get certain feel, like the mood of the image.
For the tonal study, pay some attention to the overall proportion of the major tones. That will help you get the mood.
