Paper template of water droplet!

Trying to use up leftover infused plastic to experiment…

 

Hmm… not too bad. They actually look pretty cute ^^

Let’s put them now together for an actual droplet with a hole in the middle for water! Infused the sides only and left the middle unfused using a straw:

Let’s see if it can hold water. It DOES! Water inside 🙂

Trying out another layering… can hold water too!

Using hot glue to attach the straw on the top of the droplets.

And there we go! A droplet (not leaking) with a drinkable straw!

Accomplishment: 3 droplet prototypes are ready!

So much cutting a plastic shreds to fill the trash…haha

Concept Formation & Rough Sketches

Initial idea of a water dress: have “dirty” water trickle down through a water filter container and become “purified” to drink and dispense it on the dress.

Brainstorming of mechanics with Naga as well as reformulating ideas.

After some “a-ha” moments, a new design and shape is conceived.

To simplify the dress as well as make it easier to wear: 3 pieces.

  1. Top piece of white cotton that goes mid-thigh
  2. Bottom piece of infused and sewed plastic as a skirt
  3. Attachable piece of tubes, water-drop shaped plastic containers, water filter diamond-shop box with the necessary mechanical parts
