EGO – RESEARCH
For this project, it was really fun because we got to play with colours! And I love colours!!!
But before diving into my research on colours, I first of all wanted to research on illustration styles so that I could then determine the kind of colours I would be looking at! Continue reading “EGO – RESEARCH”

For my work, it’s actually all based on my journey in school!

Movie: Fight Club (1999) Directed by David Fincher
Quote:
“The first rule of fight club is: you do not talk about fight club.”
I’m breaking all the rules by writing this.
I chose Fight Club as it was a very iconic movie to me! From the famous soap bar- to the interesting twist.
I used the crown to show how the first rule of fight club is that you do not talk about it. It’s a play on the word rule.
I removed the mouth from his face to show how you do not talk about fight club.
Also, the bar of soap is symbolic in the movie. When people think about fight club, most often the image of the iconic pink bar of soap pops up in their minds. Hence, I felt the need to incorporate it into my design.
As for the second face….. spoiler alert:
Tyler Durden and the narrator are actually the same person. The narrator suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder. I also felt the need to incorporate this twist into my design because it was what left an impact on me after the movie.
