Hi Nazurah! I think you picked the perfect song for your voice! You have an extremely sweet voice that’s pleasant to the ear. Your singing evoked many emotions inside me. I think that you are an extremely expressive singer and able to capture the meaning of the lyrics of the song. One suggestion from me would be to move more to the music as you appear to be anxious in the video. Overall good job!

Hi Nazurah! Thank you for singing this song, I really love it and you rocked it! Your voice is really soothing, and it matches the song very well. Your pitch, articulation, and rhythm are great! I think you can work on the transition from chest voice to head voice so it’ll be smoother than it already is now! I also think that you can work on the resonation at certain parts of the song where the transition of notes is really quick, so that it’ll be smoother! Aside from that, it’s really a great performance!

Hi Naz, I really like the richness of your voice! I can feel the emotion in your song, although it’s the first time I’m hearing it. The lyrics seem to speak of some complex inner conflict, and I can sense that in this cover. I also think you nailed the tune and pitch, even though it’s going up and down a lot, which can make it difficult.

Hi Nazurah! I really like the uniqueness of your voice 🙂 It sounded somewhat mellow yet sweet at the same time! You have a great sense of pitch and rhythm too! However, I feel that you could perhaps hold on to the last note of “she is gone but she used to be mine” a tad bit longer 🙂 Other than that, great job!

Thank you for the comment! I’m happy you enjoyed the cover hehe. Looking back, the last note was not held probably because of my shallow breaths (remember the session where i only counted till 20ish haha!) Definitely need to improve on that! Thank you for pointing that out <3
I L O V E this song because of its meaningful lyrics. It’s about a women in the middle of inner and external conflicts trying to stay strong, that it made me want to cover this song 🙂
Sara Bareilles has a higher vocal range than I do, thus making this a challenging song for me. I find that I need to change to head voice often and doing so, I hear that a lot needs to be done to improve my vocal capabilities. I need to support more, I need to open up my jaw space more and generally improve my voice quality.

You have really solid low notes which is really good! And what’s EVEN better is that you have a really nice upper range as well! Personally though, I prefer your lower notes than your high notes in this song because I feel that you were a bit nervous during the recording and it showed in your higher notes than your lower notes. But the slight tremble in your higher notes sounded like it fit the song really well anyway so all’s fantastic HAHA. Your pitching is good, rhythm is good and I can hear every single note and word clearly. Well done!

You have a great, unique voice which I think you brought it out beautifully in this song. Pitch and tempo are on point too 🙂 Just felt that the low notes (1:50~) was a little too low for your range but this can definitely be improved over time. Bravooooo

The way you managed to hit those notes effortlessly and immediately bring it down to a mellow state without losing strength really brings out the subtle nuances of the song. Great Cover! The song really fits your voice and you can see that you enjoyed singing it! I felt that your voice was slightley weaker in the higher notes than in those really good lower notes! This may have been due to nervousness! 🙂

Hi Nazurah (: I like the soft and soothing tone of your voice. It helps in evoking the raw emotion of the song. And also I admire how you were able to switch to falsetto easily. Good breath support overall, although you sounded a little short of breath at the start. Otherwise, good job!
