Object

For the 1st 3D lesson the class was told to bring an object that was interesting to them. I brought a set of house keys with a key chain attached to it, but I realised that they weren’t as good as an example to explain the Dominant (D), Sub dominant (SD) and Subordinate (SO).

The dominant, would be the whole key, the sub dominant would be the white area while the subordinate would be the image of the koala bear. The whole object was almost of the same colour, sliver, and the entire surface is shiny, which causes the difference among the 3 groups to be not as obvious. If the D was much more bigger and the SO was much smaller with a different colour, it would have made it a better example for the exercise.

So I tried to find another example at my hostel, it is not a perfect and best example but it would be better than the keys.  which is a red swiss knife.

edited swissknife

The D is the sliver portion as it covers the most area for the swiss knife, while the SD is the red portion as it smaller than the metallic part, and the SO is the golden O symbol. The swiss knife has more colours to differentiate the 3 groups as compared to the keys. However, it would much better if the D is much more bigger compared to the SD while the SO should be smaller.
