Unfortunately, I forgot to photograph the process of cutting out the pattern. First, I sew the edges together. After sewing, turn the pice inside out to create a more 3 dimensional look.

This is how it looks before sewing the pieces together. To make the colour look more attractive and have a different sheen I added a layer of black behind it to make it look more ocean and abalone shell like.

After turning the pieces inside out, this is how it looks like. It looks more 3 dimensional and organic.
