In this book, they talk about the advent of the digital media and how it has influenced how we use, consume and design for a intangible world. The rise of the digital medium has revolutionized our lives, from the way we live to the way we think. This meant that design as a whole had to change as well.
It is, in its own way another book on design theory, similar to some of those which came before, such as Emotional Design, or 5 Senses Design. But with a more contemporary, digital focus.
As a designer, I must be focused on the trends and the contemporary, and adapt accordingly. Löwgren and Stolterman presented their own take on a good designer, based on the idea of self-reflection, and its true. One can only be a good designer if they are capable of true self reflection.
