Lore 4: Architecture (Housing cont’d)

As mentioned in the the second Lore post, Mea’s Castle of Dreams is bouncy castle. You might ask, why not a sturdy castle made of stone or bricks?

The main reason lies with the first dream that Mea recalled. The dream was about her happily jumping on a bouncy castle with several rabbits, and this dream built the foundation of her dreamland.

Over the years, the castle starts to fade in colour, and some parts start to have small holes, leading to airleaks. The good thing about the technicians taking care and only focusing on four storeys helps them to identify these small holes and patch them up in time. Despite all these minor defects, the castle unexpectedly holds the rooms and heavy facilities really well. The technicians are always wondering why, but at the same time feel glad about it.

Based on the weather outside the glass roof, technicians know how Mea is feeling. If her feelings are negative, the weather would be gloomy; drizzles, downpours or thunderstorms. Thunderstorms are the worst, they shake the castle really badly and dreams might fade off and disappear silently.

Dreams are kept behind airplane windows, because they are the safest— dreams are behind air-tight glass and a sliding plastic. Technicians slide up the window and taps their code on the glass, and they are in to maintain the dreams. They do the same when they are done with their work and want to come out.

The four red doors that lead to Boss’s home look the same as everyone else’s, but little did the technicians (except for Pen and Glasses) know that the red door on the third storey leads to anywhere he wants to go to. It could be anywhere in Mea’s body, School of Dreams, or even the world where Mea is in. Now you know why their Pantry is never empty.
